The artwork comes from ’79, when Lightning Bolt presented a new quiver of designer model surfboards. The series was called “Star Bolt” - the state of the art in handcrafted boards - reflecting four individual concepts created by Gerry Lopez and the Bolt Team.
Back in the time, Gerry Lopez stated that “Star Bolt is a series of Surfboard Shapes reflecting my personal attitude and experiences. My goal is to make each one a classic”.
Gerry Lopez’s purpose has been fulfilled, as it happens in the garments where this iconic design features: they are unmissable classics for any wardrobe.
